The Story Behind Nooriam’s Blue Horse: Building a Brand for Trusted AI

Nooriam

What does a blue horse have to do with legal infrastructure for AI?

When Nooriam engaged Be Savvy, the challenge was to create a clear message within the brand.

How do you build a brand around world-first, cutting-edge technology?

The technology on sovereign legal infrastructure designed to protect people’s legal rights and underpin responsibility at AI speed?

The answer didn't begin with a logo. It began with the business.

Through conversation and creative exploration, we built a brand narrative around law, intelligence, trust and strategic moves.

The chessboard became part of that language. The knight moves differently within the rules of the game. It isn’t the strongest piece, but in the right position, it can deliver checkmate.

And then the knight stepped off the board.

It became the blue horse.

That evolution has become one of the most recognisable expressions of the Nooriam brand — and shows how we bring strategy, creativity and AI together at Be Savvy.

01. The idea came before the image

The strongest part of this story is that we didn't prompt our way into a brand.

Nooriam's visual world came from strategic work around the business, its proposition, sovereignty, legal responsibility and the role it intends to occupy within the emerging AI ecosystem.

AI didn't come up with the blue horse. Strategy did.

The chessboard, knight, movement, grid and eventual horse each have a reason to exist. Together, they form a coherent brand language, not just a collection of striking AI-generated images.

02. From chess piece to living brand

Chessboard → Knight → Movement → Horse → Nooriam brand world

The chessboard represents systems, rules and strategic environments.

The knight moves differently from every other piece. It follows the rules while finding a path others cannot.

Turning the knight into a living horse shifts it from a symbol to a living presence, giving the brand movement, expression and personality.

The blue horse can move, appear in different environments, be animated, abstracted, fragmented and reconstructed.

That’s more than designing individual assets.

It’s building a visual language.

03. Where AI entered the process

AI gave us an extraordinary environment for experimentation.

We could investigate material, movement, scale, lighting, texture, animation and composition rapidly while retaining a consistent strategic idea.

But AI wasn't making the decisions.

Creative direction still determined:

  • What belonged in Nooriam’s world

  • What to reject or develop

  • What would become part of its identity

The valuable skill isn't simply knowing how to prompt. It's knowing what to ask for, what to reject, what to develop — and why.

04. Why this matters beyond the blue horse

Nooriam demonstrates what happens when business strategy and creative execution aren't treated as separate activities.

What began as a brand and creative brief developed into a broader strategic partnership: clarifying the proposition, shaping the stakeholder narrative, future direction and building a brand ready for investors.

That's where Be Savvy's model becomes interesting.

At Be Savvy, we start with the questions behind the design:

We're asking:

What is the business really saying?
What value does it create?
Who needs to believe it?
What needs to change?
How should that value be articulated?
And only then — how should it be expressed?
